Standing 30 feet tall with 30 key loopholes for musketry, the Pakur Martello Tower is a unique British defensive watchtower erected in 1856 by S.D.O. Sir Alexander Eden following the fierce Santhal Hul freedom uprising. Surrounded by heritage gardens, it serves as a tangible memorial to the turbulent colonial history of the Santhal Pargana.
